We provide both high and low care in modern buildings that encourage privacy, recreation, independence and a community spirit.
The Acacias is a 30 bed commonwealth funded high care nursing home offering permanent and respite care
Stringybark Lodge is a 30 bed commonwealth funded low care hostel, offering permanent and respite care.
Blackwood Cottage is a 15 bed commonwealth funded high care unit for older people with a mental illness or significant behavioural challenges due to dementia. It is a regional service for the North East Hume region of Victoria.
Enquiries & Applications
Applications or enquiries for permanent and respite care are welcome. Whilst being based in Beechworth, if you live in surrounding towns such as Chiltern, Stanley & Yackandandah, please feel comfortable in contacting us about your future care needs.
Information on:-
- Fees, charges and residency agreements can be obtained from the Trust Officer on (03) 5728 0254.
- General aspects (eg recreation, nursing care, laundry, hair dressing, etc) can be obtained from Chief Nursing Officer - Residential Care (03) 5728 0200.
Applications must be lodged in writing with Chief Nursing Officer - Residential Care.
Residents and carers are encouraged to participate in resident and carer meetings and to put forward their views on how Beechworth Health Service can best meet residents’ needs. Residents' representation on the Meals Committee is also encouraged.
