 Dietitian

 
The dietitian provides assessment and nutritional advice for a range of dietary issues for maintaining good health, management of long term illnesses or recovery  

 

Diabetes Educator

 

Allied Health staff encourage physical activity

 The Diabetes Educator provides people living with diabetes with assessment, and information and guideance for self management of their diabetic condition. She works with individual clients to prevent and manage  complications and provide on-going monitoring.  

 

Occupational Therapist

 
The Occupational Therapist assists individuals to maximize their independence, enabling them to complete activities that are important to them within their home, work or in the general community.


Physiotherapist

The Physiotherapist provides people with assessment & treatment for movement disorders & mobility problems. This may include guideance in the selection of suitable aids & appliances to assist with mobility and rehabilitation.

 

Allied Health Assistant  

 
The Allied Health Assistant provides client care as divised in clients' treatment plans by the Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Podiatrist.

 

Podiatrist

The podiatrist provides services for prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of  foot conditions. Walking assessments, provision of orthotics and advice on appropriate footwear is also available. This service is primarly for people eligible for Home and Community Care (HACC) services.


Youth / Adolescent Counsellor

               
In partnership with Upper Hume Community Health Service, counselling, support, information & referral services for adolescents and their families is available. This service is provided in Beechworth.


Generalist Counsellor

                                                                  
The Upper Hume Community Health Service counsellor provides a weekly service at Beechworth Health Service for people from the Shire of Indigo.

Health Promotion Workers

These staff members work with individuals, groups and the general community to provide support & information on maximising healthly living.
